This trip called life

This morning, I cut my UPS calendar's January 2009. And when I looked at its blank black sheet with a picture of a speeding UPS delivery truck, I thought it would be a good backdrop for something. A poem perhaps.

Here's that something.

(I fireworked it using whatever little knowledge I have of Macromedia MX).

Enjoy the ride while it lasts
Because this journey called life
will, one day, end.

For when we reach the road's end,
we will be measured
...not by the distance we covered,
...nor by the height we reached,
...not by how loaded we were,
nor by how famous we've become;

but by how honestly we lived,
and how well we drove,
and how well we took
this life's bumps and curves:
enjoyably or complaining?

Let's take a happy trip.
It's the only way to ride out this life.
(Besides...)
No one said it would be easy,
so let's not make it any harder.

who says we really wanted "living life" to be easy?

if that's the case, then there's no room for excitement.. for true happiness...a person can never be truly happy not unless daanan nya ang sanlaksang humps and bumps that life has to offer...

living a good life is really hard, its just a matter of choice...left or right..yes or no...good or bad...

Salamat sa dalaw. I agree with you, Yanah.

Until we are hurt, we will not know what bliss feels like. (Parang me double meaning pero dahil maayos ang usapan natin, I will not indulge in that thought).

Without pain, we will not know what joy is. Without problems, there'll be no sighs of relief in finding solutions.

Pero...at eto ang malaking pero...if we can (and we must!), let's live blissfully. Hindi maibibigay un ng iba sa atin dahil magmumula un sa ating mga sarili.

    Viva la vie!

"No one said it would be easy,

Real life is not easy, even the wealthiest and the brightest and the fairest of us all can't say that. But living life to the fullest is worth the ride, especially if you know where are you going and why you're here.

    my 2 cents...

  4. pards!...gawin nating kanta yan! bagsakan mo ng nota..hataw yung meaning eh...
