1109
Albert Einstein said: What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right.
It's bound to fail.First, it's identified with Gloria. (I never disliked her. Since I was born, the Philippines already had five presidents. My opinion: Most of them just sat there; only GMA and FVR worked. My other opinion: She should step down in 2010 and give way to a new president.)
Second, the oppositions are against it (are they not against everything?!).
Third, the CBCP is condemning it (I think their political clout is stronger than their religious clout).
Fourth, most bloggers I know are against it.
Fifth, its moniker is a total joke: conass (short for constituent assembly). How can anyone love something that sounded like someone else's behind?
But have you really read it?
Visit this site for the full text of House Resolution 1109.
Notice the following points contained in the resolution:
1. The term of office of the incumbent President and Vice-President shall not be extended;
2. The term of office of Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors, and other elected officials whose term of office shall expire in 2010 shall not be extended;
3. The term of office of the twelve (12) Senators who were elected in 2007 for a six (6) year term ending in 2013 shall not be shortened and they shall be allowed to finish their term;
4. That there shall be elections in 2010.
I can't see any reason why I should go against it. Do you?
Ano kaya ang meron sa number combination 9 and 11?! Palagi kasing may impact na hatid ang dalawang numbers na ito.
I like your 5th point, Kuya Nebz! hahaha! U
I am happy that we share the same thoughts and advocacy, purihin ka Nebz.
correct ka po dyan, but in my understanding our president will file her candidacy as a congress woman in her town. assuming if she will be elected, congress will elect her as a prime minister.
so the president term is not but her ruling will.
that's exacctly my argument. besides,any amendment in the constitution shall only be ratified after a plabiscite was executed. if you're gainst it, then don't vote for it. simple.
many are against it because many do not trust the people who run the government. who knows what these officials can do to our constitution? if they can corrupt and abuse power, we're sure they can con their way into putting in constitutional changes that will be beneficial ONLY to them. as much as we do not want to become pessimists, we cannot deny that we filipinos are weary of changes nowadays.
still, let us not lose hope. that's all we got. if we can't trust them, let's trust ourselves to choose and do the right thing... whether we are for or against the CON ASS.
i never join ny politicàl issue ksi ksing gulo silà ng buhày àt gyerà sà bàghdàd! lol
àlso who ever sits às president, it bounds to be à fàilure làlo nà it is humàn wisdom thàt directs it not with divine bàckup.
Kàyà kàgulo nilà. Pàunàhàn who will be on top.
0lso, they do whàt they càn to survive politicàlly!
sus wàwàng bànsà.
I've seen progress during GMA's term. Yes, her priorities may be questionable, but at least the progress was VISIBLE. Even if it was in an area where the opposition wasn't expecting it. So like you, I don't hate her.
As far as the commotion, I'm also not sure if the people rallying have actually read it. Because some of the things they are complaining about was actually settled in the resolution.
oh well..
musta pards...magandang lalaki ako,este! magandang araw pala.
ang layo ng comment ko sa post mo.
7-11 meron ba?
