In a black and white reality
In a black and white world, there are no maybes.
It's either you're good or you're bad;you're ugly or you're beautiful;
you have or you haven't;
you rock or you suck;
you're right or you're wrong;
you get it or you don't.
In a black and white world,
there are no maybe's;
there are no pwede na;
there are no half-baked;
there are no second chances;
there are no middle grounds.
It's cruel. It is sometimes unfair.
It accepts no reason.
It offers no explanation,
and the choices, simple:
either you are...or you're simply not.
It maybe true in a black and white world, but we are not living in one. Instead our world is “gray” where there is always an exception to the rule.
Whose law do we follow?
Whose conduct do we find civil?
Whose morality do we adhere to?
Whose perceptions of beauty are we attracted to?
Whose God do we fear or love?
Simplification is dangerous. You are threading on uncharted territory. Watch your step; you might step on a troll.
Nebz, I don't believe that there's only black and white and that there's nothing in between.
Most of the things you said can simply be just a state of mind.
If there's nothing in between, then what's gray, mediocre, the middle class,those who almost took home the bacon?
And I also believe that there are second chances.
in France i learned that, when it is black it is black and not white.
Or if it is white it is white,not hazy nor gray.
Yes is yes, no is no, not maybe, or perhaps today, maybe tomorrow.
But many are indecisive and for me they are dangerous.
another thing, people tend to boast of the material things they got, and it is not even theirs!!!!
allow me to qoute the email i received today. She is funny:
"kami , maraming pera may malaki na kaming bahay na sarili namin may store kami at 10 ang shop ko.kami ang mayaman 2 car namin, 2 pampasehero jip ,2 fx na taxi ikaw asan ang yaman ninyo.ang yabang-yabang mo wala ka naman yaman.hahahaha"
nebz sino makakalaban dyan, lol
I agree we should always make a stand. In standing up for what you believe in, people may not necessarily like you but they'll respect you. Kasi you're brave enough to make a stand.
@ Ed: Coming from you, I guess I'd have to believe that we're living in a gray world. But are we really?
In life, there are only two roads: the one that we chose, and the one that we didn't.
Either we go for something, or we don't.
It may not be acceptable to most people but there are those who live in a black and white world; in a black and white reality.
You don't. I sometimes do.
@JVC: I didn't say that life has nothing in between. I just narrated what I think of a black and white reality. And in a black and white reality, there's always only the left and the right.
@Francesca: True. The most indecisive are the most dangerous (especially come election time!).
I believe when we say yes, we should mean it. I believe that sometimes we need to accept a black and white reality.
(The email you received was indeed funny.
@Braggito: I totally agree. The fact is, you're one of the people that I most admire although I sometimes don't agree with your stand. I admire you because I know where you stand.
Thanks, guys! Enjoyed reading your comments.
Sa mundo natin na kailangan eh certain and eksakto ang dapat,nagiging imperfect tayo; and nobody's perfect anyway except the word itself ( saka si mang Perfecto at Aling Perfecta hehehe). Kaya para sa akin kung ano tayo..let it be...let it be a imperfectly perfect world for us.
